Electric Guitars

Electric Guitars want to be heard! And to that end we musicians amplify them every chance we get.

The electronics, pickups, and amplifier all work together to deliver your music as one package. We carry a wide variety of electric guitars that have proven themselves over and over, from model to model, year after year.

The construction of a typical electric guitar is much different than that of the typical acoustic folk guitar that uses no electronics. The player and strings aside, the acoustic guitar sound comes from the shape and type and quality of tonal wood used. It of course changes with age, how the guitar is cared for and whether it is properly tuned but by and large the sound is produced based on the resonance of that soundboard. The electric guitar is far different. The shape does not play as big a role lending itself to fun shapes like the Bo Diddley, the Jackson Warrior or Randy Rhodes. The wood plays an important role for sound and for strength under the tension of the strings. etc.
